NDIS Local Area Coordinators – what are they and what do they do?
What is a local area coordinator?
A local area coordinator (LAC) can help connect you with the NDIS and supports in your area. Local area coordinators are funded by the NDIA not from your NDIS funding.
What is the role of a local area coordinator?
A Local Area Coordinator can help you basically help you understand and access the NDIS, create a NDIS plan, implement a NDIS plan, review a NDIS plan. A LAC cannot approve an NDIS plan, but if you aren’t happy with your NDIS plan your LAC can help you request an internal review.
